If you or someone you know is seeking a career in horticulture and gardening, you may be interested in attending our GROW Glen Eira live information session!

GROW Glen Eira is an exciting and innovative All Abilities Horticulture Training program for young people with a disability seeking open employment in horticulture. Glen Eira City Council has initiated this project as part of developing A Community for All Abilities and Kevin Heinze Grow is delivering this project for the community on Council’s behalf.

Each year, six trainees will undertake a customised hands-on horticulture training program. Under the guidance of the GROW Glen Eira Coordinator Chris Norris, trainees will complete a paid work placement through Council’s Park Services, the KHG Doncaster nursery or KHG’s mobile garden maintenance service. Following the completion of the program, trainees will be supported in their journey to find employment or volunteering opportunities within the horticulture industry.

The program is open to young people with a disability aged 15-29 years old living in the City of Glen Eira who have an interest in horticulture.

Join us on Tuesday the 10th of November at 10:30am to meet the GROW Glen Eira team and hear more about the program. To register, email Isabella at Isabella@kevinheinzegrow.org.au for the Zoom details. We’d love to see you there!
