Online Seminar: The GROW Model – Communication

Online

Join us for the tenth seminar in our Online Series: The GROW Model – Communication

Communication is a vital part of every Therapeutic Horticulture experience. Each participant comes with their own communication preferences and support needs, and it is the role of practitioners to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to connect and be understood.

At Kevin Heinze GROW, we use a range of tools and strategies to ensure communication access for all participants. From visual aids to multi-modal communication, the garden provides a rich environment where staff, participants and peers can engage in ways that suit them best.

So what does communication look like in practice? How can we support participants and staff to become effective communication partners?

In this seminar, join Kevin Heinze GROW Speech Pathologist Ebony Post as she explores the Communication element of the GROW Model. You'll gain insights into communication tools and approaches used in our programs, learn strategies to better support those you work with, and discover ways to empower staff and participants to communicate with each other more effectively.

What You'll Gain from This Seminar:

✅ An understanding of communication access in Therapeutic Horticulture
✅ Practical tools and strategies to support participant communication needs
✅ Real examples of communication supports from Kevin Heinze Grow programs
✅ Approaches to empower both staff and participants as communication partners
