FReeZA at Kevin Heinze Grow is underway and our coordinator of the program, Lucy is here to share some information about what FReeZA is, and why it is important to have all abilities programs like FReeZA for young adults with disabilities. FReeZA is a Victorian Government initiative helping young Victorians to get involved in their community to plan and run exciting music, arts and cultural events. The team at Kevin Heinze Grow are excited to be planning exciting, all abilities events for young people within the community. The event planning is going to be driven by young people on the committee to empower them to develop fun and inclusive events within the community.
Lucy says “Programs like FReeZA are a really great opportunity for young people with a disability to take ownership and create events that are accessible and inclusive for all young Victorians.” We are currently recruiting young people aged 16-25 with a disability to be on the Kevin Heinze Grow FReeZA committee, so get it touch with us if you’re keen to join!
