Moreland Men @ Peppertree Place is a weekly group for men facilitated by a qualified Social Worker and Tradesperson at the Kevin Heinze Grow Coburg gardens – Peppertree Place. Each week, the group will undertake a range of practical activities such as garden maintenance tasks and small-scale construction projects.
The group also aims to provide professional, confidential therapeutic support and social connections for men who may be experiencing mental health challenges resulting in exclusion or isolation. The aim is to encourage participants to develop a strong connection to nature and the outdoors whilst engaging in meaningful, practical activities which improve skills and focus.
Moreland Men @ Peppertree Place aims to provide participants with:
- Skills development
- Team-work
- Peer support
- Inclusive, calming & natural environment
- Opportunities for non-judgmental, confidential discussions
- Advice regarding on-going support services (as required)
Food is available for purchase from the Peppertree Place Cafe. Participants are invited to eat lunch together following each session.
